Noreen's 7 Arts Studio
Touch Drawing

Touch Drawing is this amazing technique developed by artist, Deborah Koff-Chapin. You just have to experience it to believe it. It's a way to accessing 'deep soul feelings' without your logical mind having a chance to stop you. All you do is draw with your fingers and hands on large pieces of paper on an inked board. Each drawing is completed in a few minutes and you just keep on doing more and more till you have 15 to 25 imagaes drawn in about an hour. No talking, just draw! TOUCH DRAWING WORKSHOPS are held here at 7 Arts Studio. Contact me about upcoming dates if this grabs your interest.

ORIGINAL TOUCH DRAWINGS AND ENHANCED TOUCH DRAWINGS

Although I'll be giving examples of the fun and excitement derived from enhancing your Touch Drawings (TD's) with various creative techniques, let me emphasize the value also of the unadorned 'natural' original TD which stands on it's own, needing no enhancing. You will soon learn which approach best fits your TD creations

Enhanced Touch Drawings

Sometimes it's really fun to enhance your original Touch Drawings, especially if you feel they could use a bit more 'pizzazz.' Use whatever creative ideas and supplies you can conjure up. So far we've played around with adding oil pastels, colored papers and designs for collage, yarn, fabric, feathers, beads, thread, wire, other kinds of paints, colored pencils - use anything you can think of that intrigues you.

Now here are some examples of enhanced Touch Drawings, including the 5 participants from our very first Enhancement Workshop, Sue, Karen, Janet, Geri and me, Noreen. Then we have Janet's 'Fish,' Noreen's 'Moon Goddess,' Todd's 'Joyful Dancers of Light,' Lori's 'Mexican Tree of Life,'

To learn how you too can experience the wondrous world of Touch Drawing, contact Deborah Koff-Chapin, who is also the originator of the beautiful SoulCards.

This is a Touch Drawing I call The High Priestess. The image on the left is the original 3 minute drawing, whereas the image on the right is an enhancement right on top of the original drawing ... using oil pastels and collage.
