Psychic Visit to Deceased Child Comforts Survivors
When a child dies, the threads of aspirations and dreams that connect the parent with the child remain a potent force for the bereaved parents. Overwhelmed with sadness and heartache, they long to keep the former relationship alive and meaningful, but are discouraged by advice to forget the pain and start over. Sometimes, they report occasional dreams or feeling the presence of their deceased child, but are puzzled by the experience. Desperate for answers, some parents attempt to reach out to their children beyond the means of traditional sources. They consult a specialist who communicates with the dead.
One such person is George Anderson. Although mediumship is rarely considered a valid source of evidence for survival, the information received by Anderson possesses the qualities of communication that give his work a special healing value. In the book, Our Children Live Forever (Berkeley) Joel Martin and Patricia Romanowski describe how Anderson uses his multiple psychic abilities to comfort those who seek to understand the death of their child. A total stranger to these children, he never enters a trance state and he speaks in his own voice to bridge the two worlds, relaying messages from the children.
Andersons psychic readings are often like everyday conversations: alternately trivial and profound, predictable and astounding. The childrens lives appear just as real on the other side of death as they continue to mature and grow spiritually. "Most people understand the virtual presence of their children through the story The Wizard of Oz," explains Anderson. "Aunt Em calls to Dorothy through the witchs crystal ball, but cannot hear Dorothy. Similarly, the children who crossed over cry out, Im here, Im here! Why do you think that I am dead?
"One of the greatest lessons in the hereafter is understanding the Self," continues Anderson. "Children adapt pretty quickly over there. Since everyone is different in their situations, thoughts and actions in physical life, they appear to remain unique and complex there also." The attitudes and feelings that come through Andersons readings show that the personalities of the deceased remain intact as well.
Reanimating these personalities with a personal message about previously shared experiences between the child and the parent is the gift Anderson offers to those hopeful about life after death. On one occasion, he saw through his minds eye that a deceased son presented his surviving mother with red roses for her birthday. In another reading, a young girl revealed the mystery of how she died unnoticed under the third seat of the family station wagon, only inches away from her frantically searching parents.
Anderson cautions that his readings cannot short-circuit the healing work of grief. However, those receptive to his channeled messages find that his ability to revive certain shared experiences between them and their children helps them to put their lives in a positive perspective. Most parents who come to him find his methods reassuring, helping them regain control of their lives. They learn the power of life by working with the dynamics of death through the memories of their loved ones. Survivors discover renewed hope for a meaningful life when, for one last time, their child reinforces the bond between them through everlasting love.
