Learning to develop intuition usually results in unexpected development in other areas. Even simple ESP exercises, such as guessing what number will appear next, requires the person to let go of "trying" and say whatever comes to mind. Many people are not accustomed to that kind of surrender of control. Another consequence of developing intuition is that it results in less ability to deceive oneself, or to deny one’s feelings. Sometimes it can be inconvenient to always know how you feel. It requires the development of self-acceptance and humility.
