"Hi there, I'm Henry Reed, and I'm here to tell you about the "Higher Consciousness" dimension of our tour through the Smokies and Blue Ridge, part of the Appalachian chain of mountains where I live and have my place, Flying Goat Ranch.
My purpose is to enhance the journey by adding an inner dimension to the outer tour. Often travel is a context for soul searching as well as searching for souvenirs. We leave our normal environment and enter a flow, a process of changing surroundings. We are challenged by novelty, our habits are broken. We have to draw upon an inner strength, an adaptability. It is a great opportunity to add an inner exploration to complement this outer event.
When we leave Gatlinburg and head into the Smokies, I'll take us to a scenic spot, where we can learn the Intuitive Heart™ approach to Higher Consciousness. It is a simple meditation involving the breath and the heart. As someone said, "It is so simple, I wasn't able to say that I couldn't do it." This meditation bridges inner and outer, and we'll use the intuitive bridge of empathy to help you make a heart and soul connection with the mountains. They'll probably have a message for you. During the rest of the journey, you'll have this meditation method available to you, when you like, to make heart and soul connections with whatever you encounter on the journey.
We'll descend into Cherokee Village where we'll eat lunch, have time for more shopping among native offerings, and then we'll go to the wonderful Cherokee Museum. It will be an opportunity for us to make a connection with our Native American heritage. At the conclusion of this visit, I'll lead us in a guided meditation so you can better hear the voice of your inner guide.
That night when we arrive in Asheville hotel, after we've had dinner, I'll explain about the Dream Helper Ceremony. You can read all about it on that link, but I'll say that it involves the mystery and miracle of dreaming for someone else. By agreeing to help someone else, you discover that you'll help yourself. People who don't usually remember dreams will surprise themselves as they do remember a dream promised for someone else. We will also be surprised to learn just how much meaning this dream has to offer. So our group will agree to dream for one person in that group, someone who is asking for special assistance.
The next morning, we'll spend some time working with the dreams that we remembered for that person. In the context of this dreamwork, we'll learn a lot about dreams, touching on things I offer in my dreamclass. If you go to that link, see my essays on my personal experience with dreams and my dream philosophy.
Our first day in Asheville we'll tour the Biltmore estates. The second day we'll explore Chimney Rock, the place where they filmed the movie, Last of the Mohicans.. We'll find a place for a meditation to help us integrate all we are learning. That night, comfy in our hotel in Boone, North Carolina, we'll sit around the dinner table and explore our questions about creative spirit, dreams and intuition. In the meantime, you might as well go explore my on-line intuition course, www.creativespirit.net/henryreed/study_intuition and you can be my guest by using the password, Sherlock Holmes. If time permits, that night, we can go for a visit to Ancient Wisdom, a metaphysical book and gift store, where I teach classes.

The next morning we'll need to get an early start, and we'll head into the Virginian Appalachians, where I have my home. We'll visit Grayson Highlands State Park, where I'll take you to some of my favorite spots. We'll go to the Pinnacles for a meditation and if our time permits, we'll go to a great waterfalls that doesn't require strenuous walking.
On the way to Flying Goat Ranch, we'll stop by Lilttle Wilson Trout Farm where we'll get our dinner. Maybe one or two of you would like to fish for your dinner, but most of us will simpy receive our fish ready to grill. At my ranch, we can relax and visit with the animals, while we put the fish on the grill on the banks of Fox Creek. You'll be able to explore my Dream Temple and around the campfire, we'll have more time for discussion of topics dear to our hearts. As you leave that night for your hotel in Wytheville, you'll know all about my mentored Dream Quest program, and will always have a special discount tuition should you wish to pursue your creative spirit further with me.
It's going to be an enjoyable, fun-filled, inspiring journey and it won't be the same without you, so please come join us. ......... and, if you have more questions, please email me!"
