Here is my mom as a young girl, with her violin. She became a concert violinist of some repute in her area. She didn't like it, however. When she met my dad and got married, she was happy to put it behind her.

 

 

Here is the newspaper announcement of mom's getting married. My dad and mom met in Oregon, where dad was stationed at an army training ground.
